The FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission (CFM) was established in 2006 and its mission is to create egalitarian opportunities and to promote equal treatment for women involved in activities related to motorcycling.

The FIM is very proud to announce that Mrs Susanne HUETTINGER, CFM Member since its creation in 2006, is now a recognised and licensed International Referee for FIM Track Racing activities such as Speedway, Long Track, Ice Racing and Flat Track.

Susanne had the opportunity to perform as FIM Referee in Terenzano (ITA) on 18 June 2011 during the FIM Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualifying Round 5. She handled the meeting in a professional way in front of an International squad of 18 high level riders such as Jesper Monberg, Krzystof Kasprzak, Sebastian Ulamek, Peter Ljung and Antonio Lindback.

This international achievement crowns Susanne’s very busy career in motorcycling (Speedway) activities within the OSK (Austrian Motorcycling Federation) where she has acted as a volunteer since 1992.

Susanne became a national sporting steward in 1998 and a Speedway Referee in 1999. She is not only very active in the field of Speedway, but is also present in sport administration, as, since 2000 she has been a member of the Austrian Track Racing Commission (first as a member and then as commission Vice President in 2008). In 2009, Susanne was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Austrian Motorcycling Federation and is the first woman ever elected to the Board of this Federation. Since September 2010 she is Vice President of the Track Racing Commission of the European Motorcycle Union and again, the first woman sitting on this committee.

Susanne is not only passionate about Speedway, she also rides Road and Trial motorcycles in her leisure time and never loses the opportunity to introduce her two children Julia and Philipp (born in 2004 and in 2006) to her passion.

The FIM, and in particular, the Commissions for Women in Motorcycling and Track Racing, congratulate Susanne for her outstanding achievements and wish her well in her continuing career within motorcycling world.
